Conformation

JR made his ring debut in impressive style.  In his very first show he went WD, BOW from the 6-9 month puppy class for 1 point (pictured at left).  Three weeks later in JR's second show he again went WD, BOW from the 6-9 month puppy class for 1 point.

WOWEE!!  JR got a 3 point major by going WD on 3/25/06 at the New Brunswick (NJ) KC.  That day he was also Best Puppy and took a Puppy Group 1!!!!!

Two weeks later at the Harrisburg KC he was Best Puppy in Specialty Sweeps (picture, right).  And two weeks after that at the Trenton KC and the Delaware Water Gap KC he was BOW for his 2nd major and WD for his 10thpoint at the age of 11 months (picture below).  Over Memorial Day Weekend 2006 JR went WD and WD, BOW in the Friday & Monday show, respectively to get up to 14 points towards his Championship.  Sandwiched in between these two wins he was Best Puppy In Sweepstakes at the Garden State Siberian Husky Club Spring Specialty the same day his father Frankie went Best Veteran In Sweepstakes!

Eleven days passed with three WD wins (no points) and on June 9 JR celebrated his 1st birthday one day late by going WD for the 4th consecutive show to finish his Championship title! He is the 2nd Frankie son (out of 2 different breedings) I have finished in 13 months, with Travis completing his Championship on May 1, 2005.

Agility

JR began competing in agility in August 2011 after 17 months of training. While he has done very well and is competing in Excellent Standard and Excellent JWW, JR has on occasion shown that Siberian Husky free lance skill in the agility ring.

JR (CH Marionhill's CEO Of Siberlink AX AXJ CGC) June 5, 2005 - March 27, 2016.

Early this evening we had to say goodbye to JR. He didn't today & I noticed that he breathing was labored and his stomach was distended. We took him to the e-vet hoping it was bloat. But she said he had an arrhythmia, did an ultrasound scan & aspirated him. She saw a mass and drew blood from his stomach. Not good at all. Thing is, he was at our vet on Wed. & he appeared fine. He acted normal yesterday, all day. Can't believe how fast this thing grew.

JR was a beautiful boy. He would speak to me whenever I walked into the kennel, as if to say "Hi!". Or just when the mood struck him to be vocal. I'll miss that a lot. He was a sweet, soft boy who enjoyed being with the humans as much as with the dogs in the pack. He made me laugh quite a bit with his antics. Whether it was dropping a Cuz ball at my feet for me to kick so he could chase it, or his getting up from one dog bed to take one that was just abandoned by someone else, or his just mouthing my hands as we walked in the yard. He was a gentle boy.

The titles, they were nice and he enjoyed showing in the breed ring and running agility. But, the best part of those titles was the journey with JR. He was always happy & ready to go. His gentleness will be missed around here. God speed JR. Run free. Until we meet again.
